With retro looks and a warm, vintage-style sound, the Concept Series Classic Wood Hoop Drums are sure to turn heads. The Concept Classics deliver a time-honored, open tonality, reminiscent of calfskin drums, but can still be tuned for a variety of musical contexts. Concept Classic drums feature all-maple shells and maple-plied counterhoops, available in three distinctive, matte-finished themes: Walnut Stain with Maple Hoops, Maple with Walnut Stain Hoops, and Ebony Stain with Ebony Stain Hoops. The hoops are secured with retro-inspired, recessed, stamped claw hooks, adding to the classic appeal. And, just like our other Concept Series drums, the Concept Classics are built with DW’s True Pitch tension rods, PDP’s dual-turret lugs, and world-renowned Remo drum heads.
The Concept Classics Tom Pack includes a pair of 6-ply toms in special 9”x13” and 16”x16” sizes, not available individually. And if you’re a serious fan of that classic look and sound, the Tom Pack sounds great when combined with one of PDP’s Classic Wood Hoop Snares or 20-Ply Thick Wood Hoop Snares (sold separately).Â
